This HP-11 is part of the "Chicago 5". It has approximately 700hrs (as of Fall 2003.) As you can see in the pictures, it has a very nice finish, almost like glass.

The ailerons and flaps have been modified as described in "HP-11 Modifications". The L/D has been measured at 36.8 to 1. The main gear door is modified and opens to the rear of the tire well.
