The plug was machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum. My "V" tail does not have taper-pins. Instead, the ruddervators are secured with 1/4 inch bolts. The threaded hole is designed to also use a 1/4 inch bolt. This avoids needing an additional tool to secure/remove the "T Bar".
