This is the aft convex mounting block. (The forward block is concaved.) I laminated three pieces of 6 mm (six ply) aircraft plywood scraps that I got out of the dumpster at the KitFox Aircraft plant. Having a total of 18 layers is a great visual aid in shaping on a power sander.
